Dr. Jean Cruse
Dr. Cruse is a dedicated veterinarian who brings over a decade of experience in small animal general practice to the Carriage Animal Hospital team. She graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and spent the first 11 years of her career serving pets and their families in Indianapolis. During that time, she cultivated a strong foundation in comprehensive companion animal care, with a focus on building long-term relationships with both patients and their owners.
For Dr. Cruse, veterinary medicine is more than a profession—it’s a calling. She believes the human-animal bond is one of the most meaningful connections we can experience, and she’s passionate about preserving and nurturing that bond through every stage of a pet’s life. Her primary goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality care that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual pet and the people who love them.
At Carriage Animal Hospital, Dr. Cruse is committed to creating a supportive, informative, and empathetic experience for her clients. She values open communication and works closely with pet parents to make informed decisions that promote long-term health and well-being.
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Cruse enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two dogs and a cat—Jeb, a lovable Beagle; Ferguson, an energetic Westie; and Fry, a laid-back gray tabby. Whether she’s at work or at home, animals are always at the heart of her life.
